Lot: 164 Freeblown Glass Hat Whimsey, possibly Pitkin Glass Works, Manchester, Connecticut, 1787-1830. Cylindrical hat form, medium olive amber, sheared rim - pontil scar, ht. 2 1/4 inches, rim dia. 3 1/8 inches; (portions of the rim have been ground, 1/4 inch flake from the rim). Similar in form and construction to McK plate 75, #16 An early and attractive blown hat. Great form. Purchased from Ruth Barber in New York City, Dr. Paul S. Andreson collection.
