Lot: 150 Black Glass Wine Bottle, possibly Alloa Glass Works, Alloa, Scotland, 1820-1830. Globular form, deep olive amber, tooled flared mouth with applied string rim - pontil scar, ht. 7 5/8 inches, greatest dia. 4 5/8 inches; (light exterior high point wear). Similar in form and construction to AG plate 51 A crude early bottle with numerous bubbles. Wonderful form and color. Fine condition. Estimate: $300 - $600 Minimum bid: $150 Price Realized: $322 |
