Lot: 239 Freeblown Hat Whimsey, probably New England, 1830-1860. Cylindrical hat form, medium olive green, stooled flared brim - pontil scar, ht. 2 inches, brim dia. 4 inches; (light wear around edge of brim and body, 3/8 inch open surface bubble on interior base). Similar in form and construction to McK plate 75, #12 A crude and bubbly whimsey hat in generally fine condition. Ex Dr. Paul S. Andreson collection.
